Always incredibly helpful. And the pricing is fair and reasonable. The location is as clean as a recycling yard can be. I come here often and have never had a problem. Great for small businesses who need to get rid of left over cables, wires or steel.
The new facility they have built (Mesa) is awesome. Staff is great and they always have what I’m looking for, especially since my projects are not your typical hum drum things.
Well, being a first timer in recycling scrap metal, I found it quite interesting. The staff was polite and courteous, usually in these types jobs the people are “hard-core” with a short vocabulary. Not here, American Metal took the time to give me the run down, where the entrance is and where the exit is. Thanks to everyone who helped me out and showed patience with the new guy 👍
American metals always beats Broadway indoor prices. They treat me good and I go there at least once a week selling copper, aluminum, stainless steel, steel, many different wires, computers etc. I’m always taken advantage of by every other scrap yard, believing because I’m a girl. American metals make me realize every time how much I have been screwed by all the other yards. I will stick with American metals.
We just took in some assorted cables and car batteries and I was surprised on just how well this business is ran! Nick here and his help were VERY informative on how all the scrap buisness should be done HONESTLY! Everything was shown on the scale and the prices fair! I made the mistake taking a few times elsewhere and no doubt got ripped off since that busiess never asked for ID or showed me the scale etc. I highly recommend this company for a honest price and friendly service! I come here from time to time for metal for my welding classes at mesa art center. They have most of the basic items you might need for a welding art project. They usually have a lot of fun scrap stuff to dig through too. It gets a little disorganized though during the busy hours…contractors can get pushy and impatient. Steer clear if you can’t speak up for yourself.
Well I’m no contractor, so I can’t speak to that. But for most of the 30+ years I’ve been working in mesa I’ve bought steel and scrap here, and I bring my aluminum here. The staff has always been great, although I do miss browsing around on the piles for oddball items. Guess that’s a safety rules thing. Still, they’ve never refused to cut or handle metal the way I ask, and the folks in the new steel department are a good bunch. Just show them the respect they all deserve. Love the new “castle walls” made of old boxcars. Thanks you guys (and gals).
